Female sales executives progress quickly
Women vying for senior positions such as sales executives are progressing quicker than their male counterparts, according to new research.
Employment specialists Experteer conducted a study of executives in its UK database and found that although there are ten times fewer female managing directors than male, they are likely to get into senior positions quicker than men.
People applying for sales jobs maybe interested in the research, which also highlighted a pay gap between female and male workers that meant some women could be earning £13,000 less per year than a man in the same job.
Torsten Muth, managing director of Experteer.co.uk, said: "Our research does suggest a brighter future, as today's female executives become tomorrow's managers there is hope that the situation will improve."
